Nick Pirog
author : Nick PirogI was born in Denver, but I currently live in South Lake Tahoe with my two pups, Potter and Penny. I knew I wanted to be a writer since I first read Matilda as a child, but I didn’t get around to writing until after graduating from Colorado State in 2003.\n\nMy first book, Unforeseen, which some of you may have read, was written by a very immature 22-year-old. Sometimes when I pick it up, I cringe at the writing, but I must admit Thomas is especially funny in that one. My favorite line is when Thomas has just jumped off the cliff into the water and his FBI nemesis asks if it’s okay to jump, whereby, Thomas yells, “Not yet! It’s adult swim.” I’m pretty sure I fell out of my chair laughing when I wrote that. And actually, that laughter, that pure joy of creation, is why I do what I do.\n\nMany authors have shaped my writing style, but none more than Nelson DeMille, John Grisham, Michael Crichton, and Janet Evanovich. \n\nI'm not Thomas Prescott, though I have the same sense of humor (and yes, my eyes are incredible blue.) My temperament is more like Maddy Young's (who if you don’t know, is kind of a weenie.)\n\nGod is a big part of my life and I am so blessed and lucky to have received such a kick ass gift. \n\nAs for what’s next, I just signed a three-book deal for the Thomas Prescott series with Blackstone Publishing and I'm hard at work on Rip City (Thomas Prescott #6.)\n\nGod is love.\n\nNick View more >>
